VideoPropulsion FloodGate Adds Electronic Program Guide and Private Channels
VideoPropulsion Enhances FloodGate for Hospitality HDTV Offering
Slinger, WI - June 20, 2011 - VideoPropulsion® (OTC:VPTV) announced today that it is including an Electronic Program Guide (ETG) and private hotel channels capabilities in its FloodGate® free-to-guest hospitality HDTV appliances for DISH Network®, DIRECTV®, , and Bell ExpressVu® .
The EPG provides hospitality guests with a listing of the specific line-up available in their hotel room. Guests can view the schedule of current and future programming which allows them to quickly find programs and channels without surfing through the large lineup. This simple, but uncommon amenity offers guests the ability to conveniently plan viewing with ease.
A private channel facility gives the hotelier a way to display custom welcome channels for their guests using their own pre-recorded SD or HD content played in a continuous loop. Private channels can be used to advertise hotel amenities, local attractions, or other content that the venue may desire, on one or more channels on the guest room TV.
"We are committed to providing feature-packed HDTV systems at the lowest cost per stream in the industry," said Carl Pick, Chairman, CEO, and Chief Scientist at VideoPropulsion. "The Electronic Program Guide and private channels that we incorporate into the FloodGate continue to differentiate VideoPropulsion as the leading HDTV free to guest supplier in the North American hospitality industry."
