FloodGate Transcoders
MPEG Transcoding
A wide variety of applications are served by having the right MPEG in the right place at the right time. Examples include:
- IPTV providers with MPEG-2 broadcast feeds serving MPEG-4 set top boxes
- Cable operators with large investments in MPEG-2 set top boxes with head-ends served by MPEG-4 content feeds
- Hotels that purchased HD Pro:Idiom® television sets before MPEG-4 decoders were available. With the prevalence of MPEG-4 encoded video content found on many satellite downlinks, these venues find themselves blocked from this content without making a significant investment in new television sets.
The solutions are here! FloodGate models are available for MPEG-4 (AVC) to MPEG-2 transcoding, and vice versa, at low cost. A variety of encryption and decryption options are also available.
Pro:Idiom is a registered trademark of Zenith Electronics, L.L.C.
