FloodGate FG-2102E

VideoPropulsion's FloodGate model FG-2102E is its flagship model for providing DISH Network HDTV services over coax. With a range of models handling up to 32 premium HD channels per unit and the ability to stack units for expanded line-ups, it is suitable for most hotel HD channel lineups.  FG-2102E models include an Electronic Program Guide and a private hotel channel.

The FG-2102E delivers content with Pro:Idiom encryption technology, a Hollywood approved standard for protecting content in commercial environments including hotels, motels, timeshares, hospitals, assisted living residences and other bulk commercial locations. FloodGate installation is extremely quick using simple Ethernet connections between the ViP222 receivers, an Ethernet switch, and the FloodGate.

The FloodGate Manager web interface allows you to intuitively manage receiver status, upload a channel line-up, and start and stop service. FloodGate configures channels automatically on the ViP222 receivers based on the channel lineup, and then modulates them over the existing coax cable infrastructure using QAM technology. DISH Network programming is transported using MPEG­4 transport streams. The FG-2102E configures multiple DISH Network channels on each QAM channel, delivering Pro:Idiom protected content to MPEG-4 compatible commercial TV's. Management tools are included to enable proactive remote service resolution, including automated failover to spare receivers in the case of failure.
