FloodGate FG-2102D
VideoPropulsion's FloodGate model FG-2102D is its flagship model for providing DIRECTV HDTV services over coax. With models handling up to 24 premium HD channels per unit and the ability to stack units for expanded line-ups, it is suitable for most hotel HD channel lineups. FG-2102D models include a private hotel channel.
The FG-2102D delivers content with Pro:Idiom encryption technology, a Hollywood approved standard for protecting content in commercial environments including hotels, motels, timeshares, hospitals, assisted living residences and other bulk commercial locations. FloodGate installation is extremely quick using simple Ethernet connections between COM23 receivers, an Ethernet switch, and the FloodGate.
The FloodGate Manager web interface allows you to intuitively manage receiver status, upload a channel line-up, and start and stop service. The FloodGate modulates the HD channels over the existing coax cable infrastructure using QAM technology. DIRECTV programming is transported using MPEG4 transport streams. The FG-2102D configures multiple DIRECTV channels on each QAM channel, delivering Pro:Idiom protected content to MPEG-4 compatible commercial TV's. Management tools are included to enable proactive remote service resolution, including automated failover to spare receivers in the case of failure.
