FloodGate FG-0800D

VideoPropulsion’s FloodGate FG-0800D series includes models that offer 6 to 36 premium HD channels of DIRECTV television for a commercial hospitality environment. It delivers HD service from Thomson’s COM1000 chassis and receiver series over coax infrastructures.

The FG-0800D series enables guests of hotels, motels, timeshares, hospitals, assisted living residences and other bulk commercial locations to have the same high quality HDTV that they experience at home. System installation is straightforward for DirecTV^® integrators and resellers. Each Thomson chassis outputs up to 2 HD TV streams via port Ethernet on the receiver. Aggregate those Ethernet cables through a simple unmanaged Ethernet switch into an Ethernet port on the FloodGate.

The FloodGate Manager interface allows you to intuitively manage receiver status, upload a channel lineup and start and stop service. FloodGates configure channels automatically on set-top boxes based on your channel lineup and then QAM modulate them over the existing coax cable infrastructure. DirecTV programming is transported using MPEG-4 transport streams. FloodGate configures up to 3 DirecTV channels per QAM channel, delivering Pro:Idiom protected content to MPEG-4 compatible commercial TV’s. Management tools are included to enable proactive remote service resolution, including automated failover to spare receivers in the case of failure.
