The Cascade T4 4 Channel PCI QAM/8VSB/COFDM Tuner provides unprecedented functionality for receiving digital television signals. The VideoPropulsion T4 is configured with up to 4 DTV RF tuners capable of receiving 8VSB or QAM Annex B/C. Each tuner can alternatively be custom configured at the factory to receive QAM Annex A or COFDM encoded signals.

Each tuner on the card has an individual F type connector to attach that tuner to the external environment. An optional factory installed connector can be specified to enable the customer to insert an industry compatible Cable Card for decrypting incoming programming.

The output of the Cascade T4 is a video transport stream sent to the system memory through DMA transfers over the PCI interface. The VideoPropulsion Application Programming Interface (API) provides the tools for customer applications to read the transport stream data.
